Description
Main de sel et pincée de sel 2 en 1, accessoire de cuisine en céramique fabriqué à la main
- La partie inférieure de l'objet sert de main de sel dans laquelle vous pouvez déposer une petite cuillère de bois et ainsi, saisir n'importe quelle quantité de sel.
- La partie supérieure de l'objet sert à la fois de pincée de sel et de couvercle. En secouant la partie supérieure de haut en bas vous obtiendrez l'équivalent d'une pincée de sel, qui tombera par le trou central situé en dessous.
- Il suffit de remplir les 2 parties de l'objet avec votre sel préféré, et le tour est joué!

Origin of the object
To create this very special object, the artist immersed himself in historical research around salt. Once a rare and valuable commodity, salt was often used as a ration, as a form of payment for soldiers in the Roman Empire. This is where the origin of the word salary, formerly called salarium, comes from.
Being highly prized, even valuable, salt was often hidden for fear of being stolen. It was therefore kept in unusual places, to avoid suspicion; sometimes camouflaged in a clock or a trinket, as for example.

My practice in crafts is at first sight formal superimposed on a quest for intimate poetic-playfulness. My choices of materials, clay and glass, imply a passage through fire and a feeling of anticipation induced by their physico-chemical metamorphoses.
The object and the techniques of ornamentation and surface treatments are at the heart of my practice. I research the contrasts and dichotomies between form and decor. The cohabitation between sobriety and fantasy is one of my ways of doing things. I tirelessly explore the fine line between delicacy and disorder. Intimacy, rootedness, volubility and incongruity are my favorite themes.

Packaging: We pack the artworks with great care, most of the time with recycled materials, since the planet is as important to us as the effulgence of the quebec fine art crafts! We use foam, paper or bubble wrap to protect your purshase which will then be placed in a cardboard box. Canvas are also protected with cardboard corners and kraft paper.
Return Policy: We want you to have a real crush on your new artwork! If this is not the case, we will be happy to exchange your purchase within 30 days of the date of purchase.
