My artistic approach offers object designs in two and three dimensions, in particular the binding, drawing, sewing, sculpture and engravings techniques in general. My work is particularly interested in physics of materials like a universe of possible or limits when put on in relation to each other.
I’m interested in time as an implicit theme, both in the choice of materials and in the type of binding or in content. Each book is an intimate space that is being created between the object and the and the person who explores it, reads it or uses it.
Although my practice brakes up some conventions, the fact remains that this is based on several traditional codes, such as series, collections and conservation.
The binding takes an important place in my practice, because it allows a space of rich collaboration.
