Christiane Morrow

Pastels, charcoals and colour pencils

Portrait of Christiane Morrow

Passionate about creation, I’ve used numerous mediums throughout my years of experimentation: oils, watercolours, acrylic painting, pastels, charcoal and colour pencils. I particularly appreciate mixing techniques and testing new ones on various media, such as paper, cardboard and wood. Through portraits, I strive to not only represent a facial expression, but also shapes and volumes by playing with light, colours and transparency.

Creativity is a dynamic process that allows me to evolve and grow. Versatile, I enjoy exploring, discovering and mastering new techniques and approaches. I’m always trying to seize the light, no matter the subject. That is why I chose to be trained in drawing and painting by artists that are recognized in their discipline. Based in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, where numerous artists inspire and challenge me, I’ve presented my work in numerous galleries throughout the province.
