The interpretation of human experience in the arts, fascinates me. This is what I want to share, for my self. To do this, I gravitate around relational themes; relation to oneself, to the other, to past and present time. The exploration of interiority is at the saoul of my work.

I favor painting, drawing, collage, photography and video as my expression. From these different languages I alternate my pictorial research between spontaneity and reflection, between experimentation and aesthetic research.

The omnipresence of the human figure, in my creations ,gives shape to beings who symbolically embody interiority. They are usually the central element of the image, the one I use as a screen ,to project visual allegories! These characters evolve, in minimalist places ,where they coexist with real or fictitious objects. I create open works, with multiple interpretations.

For the sake of the environment, I worry about the choice of materials and supports that I use. Work on paper, ephemeral and digital works take more and more place in my artistic production.

Creation process

Danièle Neveu works mainly with acrylic and collages. The omnipresence of the human figure in her artworks clearly shows the driving force behind her creation: the exploration of different relational themes. Like a diary with a page torn off, her creations show a fragment of what normally remains hidden.The interpretation of human experience prompts her to create open works so that each observer can read what their own experience suggests to them, thus pushing the exploration of hidden areas even further.The artist likes that those who look at her artworks see them as moments of a life, and that they can, by the environment and the objects which surround the characters, imagine the own synopsis of what could have happened to pass before, during and after, this interrogation external to the observer necessarily bringing him back to himself.

Unframed artwork

Our unframed paper works are sold in plastic protective envelopes designed expressly for the artwork. Your new acquisition will therefore be sent to you in complete safety.

The artwork is slipped into an acid-free plastic envelope with stiff cardboard on the back to prevent any curl in the paper. This envelope is then sealed so that the work remains intact and without contact with dust.

Since the plastic envelope are acid-free, you will be able to keep the artwork in its packaging for several years (or even decades!) without fear of the artwork deteriorating. So you can take the time to choose the perfect frame for your new favorite artwork !

Despite our desire to minimize the use of polluting packaging, unfortunately we have not found yet other solutions to properly protect paper works. However, we are always on the lookout for ways to contribute to the well-being of our planet!

Importantly, paper works should never be placed in direct sunlight, which would deteriorate the colors, despite the protective plastic envelope.
