Portrait of Éric Bélanger

Éric Bélanger

Painting and creative woodworking

I was born an artist and I consider myself imaginative, creative … a colourful dreamer! Craving art in all its forms, I studied at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal in applied arts and then headed to Las Vegas. I built my career in this large city for 20 years, as a faux finisher specializing in colour and texture imitations. During these years, I exhibited my pieces at The Arts Factory and participated in various artistic events.

While I create, I explore various techniques inspired by colours, movement and textures.. I am especially interested in abstract art. I appreciate its execution and the many interpretations it can evoke in people. My style is rustic contemporary which blends well with my paintings.

Since I returned to Quebec recently, Le Vivoir’s creative project represented a golden opportunity to join with local artists.
