Esther Beaudet’s porcelain jewelry is surprisingly durable. Contrary to popular belief, porcelain is much stronger than it looks! During demonstrations, the artist even throws test pieces on the ground and invites people to step on them, proving their impressive resilience. Thanks to her meticulous craftsmanship and carefully controlled firing process, each piece retains its beauty and shine over time.
Handcrafted with high-quality yet affordable materials, these jewelry pieces combine elegance with durability. The stainless steel hardware ensures good resistance to wear, though it is not as long-lasting as sterling silver. To maintain their brilliance, it is best to avoid prolonged exposure to chlorinated water, such as in pools or hot tubs. Other than that, these pieces are perfect for everyday wear and can accompany you through most activities!

Originally from Quebec and self-taught in my field, I left the theater more than 50 years ago. I really found my way when I started playing with clay. I learned by myself, proceeding by trial and error. I even had to invent some tools, because there is no tradition in the form I give to this fabulous material that is ceramic.
Ah! What joy this work in the workshop is like meditation, the mind only thinks in terms of shapes and colors. Time stops!
Through my jewelry, whose clay beads are made by hand, one by one, I wish to convey to you this state of simple happiness and perhaps even make time stop for a moment for you too. My signature, a bead in the shape of an apple heart which means “carpe diem”, will undoubtedly help you with this.

Creation process
Esther Beaudet’s work is a true exercise in patience and precision. Each piece of jewelry is born from a long series of meticulous movements as the artist handcrafts every single porcelain bead, one by one. No matter how tiny or numerous they may be, each bead receives the same dedicated attention. This artisanal approach gives every piece a unique, authentic character.
Esther follows no traditional ceramic modeling techniques. As a self-taught artist, she has developed her own methods, even inventing specialized tools to shape her creations. Her workshop is a meditative space where time seems to stand still, marked only by the rhythmic shaping of each bead. True to her signature, every one of her creations features a heart-shaped apple bead, a carpe diem symbol that serves as a gentle reminder to cherish the present moment.
