In between

ENTRE-DEUX is a series of one-of-a-kind works created by Karine Dezainde during her residency in Le Vivoir’s Guest Studio in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. Combining screen printing and painting on cotton mounted on Russian birch, the series explores the meeting point between natural landscapes, organic forms, architecture and geometry. Inspired by the St. Lawrence River and the surrounding landscape, these works play with contrasts between material and structure, fluidity and precision, two-dimensionality and volume. Several pieces from the series found new homes while they were still being created; the works presented here are those currently available at Le Vivoir.
