My creativity manifests itself when I manipulate natural materials. I am inspired by the smell of wet felt, by the gestures of molding, by the malleability of the material and the possibilities it offers me. My approach is both sensory and kinesthetic, relating to sensuality and an intuitive movement linked to matter. I love exploiting contrasts or the more natural and delicate effects of tone on tone. Colors are my muses. Curves, folds, topstitching and the mix of different materials are my signature. I give my products a timeless quality, a classic aesthetic, a utilitarian and durable function as well as a neat confection, marked by finesse and attention to detail in the ornamentation. They never look like objects created with recycled fibers, because I carefully choose my materials for their quality in order to create a thoughtful ecological and artistic combination.
My approach consists of dealing with the physical particularities specific to each recovered and recycled material, depending on their availability. This constraint is in fact a powerful source of inspiration. The challenge of each new combination not only feeds my creativity, but the assurance that my ethical and aesthetic choices are harmonized.
On an ethical level, I create hats and fashion accessories in order to produce a resonance of my values in people through my collections. My greatest happiness is to meet people wearing one of my creations. After all, we are the result of our experiences and the people we have met!
