Mlle Rousseau

Graduated in fashion design, I have always been passionate and inspired by the colors, fabrics and work of Coco Chanel. From Quebec to Vancouver, I refined my art in worlds where velvet and lace were at the heart of my daily life.

Tattooed with romanticism, the dream of opening a creative workshop and the unexpected discovery of the kisslock metal clasp, these are the elements that announced the beginning of the Mlle Rousseau adventure.

Straight out of another era, the jewel effect of the clasp and its particularity of being sewn by hand have inspired me to create practical and durable accessories such as card holders, wallet bags, bundle purses and outing bags, under the themes of refinement and coquetry!

My creations are made of linen, animal and vegetable leather, lace and cotton. I choose the materials according to the format of the accessory to give it the properties essential to its usefulness. My collections are produced in small series and it is the quality rather than the quantity that is enhanced by specific and meticulous manufacturing techniques.
