Blacksmithing
Kamouraska

My practice lies at the intersection of sculpture, blacksmithing, and metal art. I work primarily with metal as a living material: I repoussé it, hammer it, heat it, rivet it, patinate it, and assemble it to create works in which the strength of the material reveals a certain fragility.
Through my creations, I am drawn to the organic forms that quietly inhabit our environment. Mushrooms, in particular, fuel my imagination through their ability to emerge from the shadows, transform their surroundings, and reveal the beauty of what often goes unnoticed. For me, they embody the balance between delicacy and strength, between the visible and the invisible.
My intention is to create pieces that are both precious and raw, where traditional craftsmanship becomes a contemporary language. In this way, I seek to establish a dialogue between material, gesture, and the living world, through works that invite observation and contemplation.
