Portrait of the artist sculptor Clermont Gagnon

It was in 1975, in my early twenties, that I realized my dream of exercising my talent by entering the sculpture study program offered by Mr. Benoi Deschênes. For five years, I developed my know-how and defined my style, whose subjects are of peasant, secular or religious inspiration. Since then, I have sculpted life-size pieces, miniature scenes, reliefs and round bumps.

My art has allowed me to shine on the provincial, national and international scale. It is the symbolic strength and the delicacy of my works that are most often mentioned in the distinctions I have received during my career.

Sculpture allows me to reach what is best in me and to experience new projects. It gives me the opportunity to convey deep emotions and express beauty in a different way. Since the beginning of my career, I have been firmly rooted in the region. I am proud to contribute to its cultural influence and follow in the footsteps of my peers.
