Creation process
Momo the apprentice creates beautiful necklaces by shaping each glass bead with a blowtorch, one by one. The process begins by heating colored glass rods with a high-temperature blowtorch. The glass then becomes malleable and can be wrapped around a metal rod called a mandrel, thus forming the base of the bead. Thanks to precise gestures and perfect control of the flame, the artist can add delicate patterns and touches of color by superimposing different layers of glass. Some even integrate small inlays for a unique effect. Once the desired shape is obtained, the bead is slowly cooled in an annealing oven to reinforce its solidity. This process can last several hours and sometimes, it is only the next day that we will have the pleasure of discovering the final result of the bead once cooled! Each piece, a true miniature work of art, is then assembled by hand to create unique necklaces. Artisanal know-how and attention to detail guarantee jewelry of great finesse, where each bead tells a story through its shape and vibrant shades.
