- L'hydrostone est une poussière de plâtre comparable à un plâtre de haute densité. C'est une matière couramment utilisée par les sculpteurs puisque l'apparence de celle-ci ressemble étrangement au bronze. La finition se fait d'ailleurs de la même façon que sur un bronze, à savoir entièrement à la main, de façon individuelle et différente pour chaque exemplaire du coulage.

Coming from circus and dance arts, Claire Alexie Turcot remains driven by a powerful need to touch and entertain by telling stories.
Her atypical way of handling the chainsaw, apart from having allowed her to be selected for many international events, marvelously nourishes the emotion she wishes to convey through her sculptures.
The wooden animals that she creates, if they touch us at first sight by their sympathetic appearance, move us deeply when we observe them more closely. Indeed, a careful look can detect cuts, bites and scratches, each wound giving us to see the vulnerability, the truth of these sculpted beings, as if the clown who made us laugh suddenly took off his mask to show us his tears, his fears or worry.
For sure, the authenticity that emerges from the creations of Claire Alexie Turcot is a mirror that forces us to observe our own vulnerability and to agree on the beauty of beings without their mask.

Packaging: We pack the artworks with great care, most of the time with recycled materials, since the planet is as important to us as the effulgence of the quebec fine art crafts! We use foam, paper or bubble wrap to protect your purshase which will then be placed in a cardboard box. Canvas are also protected with cardboard corners and kraft paper.
Return Policy: We want you to have a real crush on your new artwork! If this is not the case, we will be happy to exchange your purchase within 30 days of the date of purchase.
